What Is a Triple Eccentric Butterfly Valve?

A triple eccentric butterfly valve, also called a triple offset butterfly valve, uses a three-offset structural design to minimise friction between the valve seat and sealing surface during operation.

The three offsets include:

• Shaft offset from the pipeline centreline
• Shaft offset from the valve seat centreline
• Conical sealing surface offset

This design allows the valve disc to disengage from the seat during opening and only contact the seat during final closure.

High performance double eccentric butterfly valves are widely used in industrial pipeline systems requiring reliable sealing, low operating torque, and long service life.

Compared with concentric butterfly valves, double eccentric butterfly valves provide:
